I'm wonder what a fair purchase price is for the framed three column, four uncut USA remainders are worth. I have an opportunity to buy it but don't know what a fair offer is.
Depending on how it is mounted in the frame, the Eastern Bank of Alabama sheet is worth the asking cost of the whole frame.
The company that framed the remainders has been out of business for at least fifteen years. They used to be the go to place for archival framing. They're asking $300.00 and are probably firm on that price. I'll make them an offer.
I examined the frame under bright sunlight and it does not appear to be any adhesive attached to the notes. As previously mentioned the frame was done by an old time high quality framer. I collect banknotes but not the notes in the frame. If you think it's worth $300.00 or more I'll buy it. Thanks, Mike
I think it’s sweet! I know what it costs to have something custom frames like that, double matted. The notes are really cool as a set and displayed that way. My opinion only!
If they were near me I'd buy them framed as-is for ask. As I noted, the Alabama notes themselves are worth the ask. The Louisiana sheet is very common, the Maryland sheet is nice and while not rare is still around $130-$200 depending on condition. I wish it was near me, it'd be hanging on my wall already...
