Well I was a lurker for quite awhile before becoming a member.
Not sure what took so long for me to join.
I guess I didnt know if I had anything to share but at close to 1000 posts it's seems I was wrong :D
You really should just join and post a few and see how it goes. Nothing to loose just more learning to gain.

The problem is that a lot of those guests could be web bots just searching the forum. The other forum I moderate usually has as many bot or spiders on it as users. Then again some of them are probably already members, but did not log in. And how many of them might just be googling trying to find the value of that two headed coin? :)

    More members are always welcome.

    Well put, Duke!
    To the Guests:
Become a member, share your interests and enjoy. I suspect that you will become more involved as a member than as a lurker. ;)

I suspect that the last statement is the norm for guest on this and many other forums. Many people just want to see what is going on so they peek and then never come back. There are a lot of people out there that although may be interested in coin collecting, just don't take it serious enough to want to get involved in a forum or anything to consistant.
I go to about 2 to 4 coin shows a Month and so far have only met one person in many, many, many years that says they check out any web sites or forums on coins. AND I talk to anyone that is willing to talk and that includes many dealers. Not sure if they don't want to admit involvement on a coin forum, or just are part of the world of people that don't want to get involved with the internet. Quite possibly many suspect that if you do join a forum, there may be some way of tracing back to thier homes so for security reasons such possibilities keep them from joining. In the area I live, security is a primary concern.
