I have acquired a 1928 threepence for Australia, and was wondering if there is any value above the silver content. The coin does not show any signs of cleaning and is in the VF35-XF40 for a grade.
5 bucks if your lucky.. Just check eBay completed listing for an average price to see what things are going for on eBay.
High mintage for the type (5,000,000) and at .0393 ASW it's value is around $1.20. I'd say at more than double that. Probably around 4-5 dollars max.
