    Hello.

I am trying to establish a rough retail value for the coin shown here. Based on previous ID help from kind members, I believe it is an Indo-Scythian Western Satraps silver coin struck around 200 AD. Ruler Viradaman.

    2.3 grams
    13 mm diameter
    1 mm thickness

    Thanks!

Retail maybe $15. The obverse could probably be improved. I assume its not a fouree and the copper color is a deposit or lighting.

someone posted another of these recently with a nice reverse and damaged obverse didn't they?

These coins should be very pure silver. The WS are actually noted for a long series of coins that maintained this purity debasing only slightly at the fall of the empire around AD 400. Also the WS issued silver 1/2 karshapana, bronze and lead coins. I am pretty sure that the bronze coins are not portrait coins.

Thank you all for your responses. I believe it is silver, and that the poor lighting used in my photos is causing the off color. Chrmat71, it is the same coin you commented on previously. Thanks again.
