Expert? Non-expert? Familiar with grading Asian coins? Can you pick out Malaysia on a map? Yes? No? Does not matter. ALL opinions are welcomed and appreciated. The pic is a scan at 2400dpi resolution. I am not good at scanning and made no attempt alter/adjust/retouch the pic. I just took what i got from my scanner with its auto settings doing their thing. In hand, under natural light, the coin does have some nice shine to it. The coin is silver with the percentage of silver somewhere between .60-.80%. I think. Hey... feel like sharing your opinion on what YOU would value (i.e. buy it for with YOUR money)the coin at? Fire away; I'd like to hear it. No need to sugarcoat things either because I need realistic, real world answers. I can handle the truth ;-) View attachment 590076 View attachment 590077

Here is a link that may help. It takes a little playing with but not to hard to figure out. http://worldcoingallery.com/index.php Will get you to this. https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/straits-settlements-5-cents-km-10-1871-1901 I would say it is in Good condision if it was mine.
Image is quite blurry for 2400dpi - suggest you take it out of the holder to make your image. I'd call it "fine" because of the wear on the hair, and the coronet/crown is barely discernible. In my 2011 Krause, book value is $30 thus. It has good color and no distracting marks or scratches. It is 80% silver, 0.0350 oz. $20 sounds about right. The rare early dates 1871, 1873, 1876H, and 1877 all catalog 25 times as much.
At the bottom of your post, there is a "Report" button. Click on it and ask the mods to combine all three posts. Chris
I was unfamiliar with worldcoingallery.com. Great website. Just what I needed especially for my skill level.
Great idea about removing the coin from the 2 by 2. Yes, I am aware of those dates, and of course searching for them. Quite hard to find.
