A San Francisco coin collector and shop owner plans to give away $10,000 worth of rare coins in a scavenger hunt.

He's hoping to get more people interested in coin collection and says this is a great way to educate people about the role coins play in history. The hunt starts on Friday and there will be clues posted online.

I would check out the dealer first! Second, I have no desire to be in San Fransisco at this time with the troubles they are having.

Those 1 star reviews sound like some of the sour newbies we get here. "They told me this coin I paid good money for at the flea market is fake!" "They told me this RARE MINT ERROR I found in the parking lot was just damaged!" "I sold my coins on eBay for twice what this dealer offered me!"

Only yesterday, I placed a $5 slot token from an obsolete casino on a Walgreens shelf. Although usually with interesting low value foreign coins, I do this in various stores often.
