It shouldn't matter on the Win versions, and the new one should be fine. USB is the same if the connector fits. Use the Win camera app by clicking the windows symbol on the task bar and find it. Some of the earlier companies just used the drivers provided by the manufacturer and they didn't work. google the model and brand and look for a documents page. Jim
You did well, grasshopper... Seriously, usb micros need to be 3MP or better to avoid pixelation. I bought a Celestron Handheld Digital Microscope Pro...it has internal lighting and mag to 250x. For Morgans I built a custom pillar of about 5 inches. It says “hand held” but it comes with a professional stand. Also, I bought from Amscope a dual gooseneck light that has adjustable (slider switch) brightness. You just bend the goosenecks into any position or adjust the coin...Spark
