Proofreading is a failing of mine. I typically just dash off a response and don't proofread it first. If I notice and error while I am writing I will correct it, and often I don't spot an error until just after I hit the post reply button. Then I have to go back and correct it. Then a day or two later I will run across my thread again and be shocked at how much it is still butchered. Most of my errors are created by poor typing though than actual spelling errors. (I can't touch type, I do a six finger hunt and peck. And I can't spell worth a darn, but oddly I can almost always tell when a word is misspelled. I just can't come up with the correct spelling.) And I have certain letter combinations which I will almost always screw up. One of the most common is form and from. I am constantly typing one when I intend the other.
