US Mint quality control

My Order for D and S are scheduled for Friday. My order for P and Peace Dollar marked shipped but haven't actually bee picked up yet. Been quarantined in my house for a month so I am so looking forward to Friday.

What’s the point? QC being what it is these days there’s no advantage to leave anything coming from there in a sealed box. Mint products should be opened and inspected immediately. Then sent back as necessary. As a buyer there’s no way I’d buy a sealed box hoping for the best.

 

Got my 2021 D Morgan S$1 today and I must say looks pretty much flawless.

Edit: can see a couple of things on the rim not sure if it is the lighting...

 

The argument between leaving it in the original packaging and opening the immediately goes back at least to Troy...

 

I wouldn't be returning either of those regardless of it's appearance so it doesn't matter. They'd have to had sent me the wrong item completely for me to return them, still I'd don't know if they did send me the wrong thing even. Whoops.

 

I got my Morgan (D) and (S) today. The info from the USPS said they would not arrive until tomorrow. I bought an American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin and it was suppose to be delivered Monday. It was interesting. Most of the time the are usually "a day late and a dollar short" as my mother use to say.
