Having a subscription just guarantees that you will get what you ordered, it is no promise that you will be one of the first ones to get it.

Yeah I know that Conder but when the subscription program started up a few years ago I'd get my sets in days from the issue date not weeks.

I have been of the belief that the mint send all their extra bullion coins to 8 large dealers to supply the secondary market. Am I wrong?

Last year, there was someone who did more than lurk; who was a fountain of inside information. He obviously either worked at The Mint or knew someone who did. However, one day he said he had to leave CoinTalk and all his postings were deleted. It seemed that someone at The Mint wasn't happy with him providing inside information. A lot of us miss him.

Perhaps he's still around, but just lurking and listening. I don't see what's wrong with us citizens understanding what's going on inside. After all, we own The Mint.

I am sure you miss him greatly Spock and I am sorry I never had an opportunity to meet him on this forum. But the fact remains that, according to Dreamer, all traces of this person disappeared. That to me is sinister indeed. What was it that he shared with the people on this forum that was so sensitive that it had to be removed?

    Marshall Law

I have a friend of mine that lives on 40 acres in the middle of nowhere. Now that the possibility of Marshall Law has been raised, we'll probably dig holes and make a GPS print out of computer map accessible by p/w only. The 21st Century version of burying it has become high-tech by virtue of GPS and computers.

Thank you Spock for the amazing lady endorsement.
I knew the post was going to stir up a hornet's next and I would probably get stung... fortunately I am not yet allergic to hornet's...
There was a lot of great posts and some questions answered.
Just wait for my next controversial subject... tee hee...
By the way who is j/k... someone with my initials?
If so I should be more careful about my signature on posts.
