Polk...the 11th President.&nbsp; The reverse depicts the Statue of Liberty.</p><p><br /></p><p>With the current law, 20% of the dollar coins minted must be Sacajawea Dollars while the other 80% are Presidential Dollars.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>With all that said, the dollar coins are unpopular and don&#039;t circulate much.&nbsp; The US has tried to make them more popular in the hopes of getting rid of the dollar bill...but it has failed.&nbsp; The problem with the bill is the cost.&nbsp; Let&#039;s say it costs 2 cents to make a bill that lasts 6 months and it costs 10 cents to make a coin that lasts 30 years...the coin is clearly the more cost affective option.&nbsp; But, for now we continue to cling to the bill.&nbsp; So, the coins don&#039;t see much action.</p><p><br /></p><p>We have never had a $2 coin.&nbsp; The closest thing was the gold quarter eagle which had a face value of $2.50 but it was last minted in the 1930s.&nbsp; We do have $2 bills but they don&#039;t circulate much either.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
