It would be interesting to know if that includes both the copper and copper plated Zinc. Does that keep it out of the 10 Billion plateau if they are considered different?

It includes both types, and if you're splitting hairs that means neither reached the 10 billion mark. Zinc 1982's weren't produced until late in the run (October 1982, IIRC), and TPG Populations of both compositions are similar.

    All right! Next question.

When was the FIRST gold dollar made?

Bechtler dollars were struck in 1832 as a private issue. If you mean US mint products, then it's Gobrecht's 1836 pattern (J-67). And, of course, if you mean circulation strikes, it's 1849.

You already got it right. 1836.

    Next question:

What is the lowest mintage of any dime that is not the 1894-S or a pattern?

I'm assuming this one doesn't include proofs, since there are several unique ones, like 1876-CC and 1891-O branch mint proofs.

    That is true.

    I'm going with 1867, then. Mintage 6000.
