US $1 President coin

Hello everyone,

Another thread about $1President coin. I'm starting to get some thru circulation and I have decided I might as well collect these as well. I hope you can share you $1 President coin collection.

Happy collecting and you all have inspired me about this hobby.

Yes. I do. But only what comes my way. I don't go chasing them. Storage is getting tight. I going to have to get another safe. Lol

 

I have to dig my first batch of $1 coins uncirculated from littleton that I purchased a year ago. The rest would be just circulated.

 

Considering it's coinage, just get a B-Rated safe - slab steal. No need for fire protection.

I added a dirty bicentennial & washington quarter to my small quarter hoard yesterday.

 

My wife is going to be swamped with my collection. She is not interested but the kids are now familiar with my collection and both are familiar with all the name of the Mints.

 

I will have to get one definitely. I have detached maid quarters and now converted that into my storage complete with AC and alarm service. Now the moving begins.

 

I think that is the same safe that I got from my dad from his gun collection. I thought my dad was crazy collecting guns but when I visited his brother in Indiana, he was 10x worse a hoarder of guns. He has another guest house with 1800 sq. Ft full of his gun collection only. With customize racks and safe feature with biometric security. Just crazy.

 

nope, no pictures, except for some metal detecting finds, found about 9 including one Susie B last year, and a few this year

 

I will post some pictures later of what I have so far.

 

I started with cents...then added nickels...then dimes and quarters...on to halves...and finally dollars. It's an addiction!

 

Yes it is...It is a sense of pride and ownership. LOL

 

Oh, don't worry...it'll only get worse. I also moved on to foreign silver and gold and most recently ancients.

I have two bars of silver and it is a pain to move. No more silver bars or gold. Just coins.

Im a little hesitant on ancient coins as I see a lot of them with no COA. Well I also realized that I can expand on coins from other countries. I have some Canadian pennies, centavos from the Philippines and I found a 10 cent Euro coin from my dump bucket.

 

These are my first and last set that I ordered from LCC. Moving forward, I will only keep circulated ones from change.

 

What made me really decide not to buy anymore bars is that when I moved one of my silver bars, it almost landed on my toe and I sure didnt want to have a dead toe. LOL.

 

Just bought one. Safe will home in two weeks...
