A year or so back, I was working for an elderly man, at the time he was 97, he had traveled the world in the 1930's and 40's, and had quite a collection of notes and coins. Occasionally he would bring some out to show to me, and often times bestow upon me various coins and banknotes. He gave me this Uruguayan one shortly before his death, along with a 1954 Taiwan one yuan, which he had a whole stack of in crisp uncirculated condition, and a few US military payment certificates. But as far as the Uruguay one goes, I could only find two examples on ebay...one was $149, and one was $450. They look exactly the same as mine(one looks to be in worse shape) and have the same printers names on the bottom. The one I have is pretty crisp, but has a few fold marks, I'm just curious as to whether or not these ebay prices are reasonable, and how scarce this note is. Here are some pictures of my Uruguay note. I also include two pics of my taiwan 1954 yuan...I know nothing about the taiwan note..is it scarce, common?

rexesq
