Good news indeed. The most important predictor of a favorable outcome in carotid endarterectomy is the track record of the surgeon and the quality of care in the hospital.

 

He's in my prayers.

Thank you for the update!. I personally don't know the man except on this forum but that's good enough for me! I'll send my prayers.

I had a test a few years back on the carotid artery as my doctor at the time thought I may have had a stroke myself. Serious stuff!! I hope everything turns out alright. I remember the guy so I will pray for him. thx again for the update!

Chris is at home and recuperating, and his sense of humour is intact as always.

 

He hasn't posted yet?! I'd have demanded my laptop as soon as I found out I wouldn't be leaving the hospital for a few days.

The hospital has an excellent record, but I didn't know too much about the surgeon. He is from India and his name is Penukonda. However, the staff got a big kick out of it when I nicknamed him Pina Colada.
