Interesting no change in sales figures for the 1/4 oz AGE... one of the more popular and usually faster moving products... and no change on the AGB for a couple days.
Information about US Mint two-roll sets sales figures are not that easy to come by online, especially a few years back. In fact most roll set sales figures are hard to find separate from overall mintages of any given coin. I'm not sure who is or who has collected such figures for roll sets. I've looked and can't turn up much from the first years of Mint roll set product offerings. Elaine has some such info but she may not have it that far back or for these specific coins if she wasn't interested in them at the time. I'm not sure if the Mint has ever divulged specific sales records of these sets apart from the overall mintage of P & D coins for the Bison sets. You might send a question to the folks at Mint Database to see if they have any specific records on the roll sets for 2005. Online they only go back to 2007, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they don't have other unpublished figures to quote or that they might be able to point you in the right direction to find the mintage/sales figures for the answers you seek. Drop them a line by email at coins AT live DOT com and let us know what if anything you find out. I'd be curious to know too. :thumb:
According to the 2010 RedBook's mintage figures... 2005-D Bison: 448,320,000 2005-P Bison: 487,680,000 and 2005-S Bison: 3,344,679 (proofs) What are all the ways these were sold: • Mint Sets (P & D coins), • Proof Sets (S coins) • Two-roll sets (P & D unc.) Were two roll sets sold as Satin finish and are there separate figures for Satins available? • 2005 Westward Journey Nickel Series™ Coin and Medal set. This is listed as a commemorative in the Red Book and contained: Pr. Sac $1, 2 x 2005 Proof nickels, and a silver-plated Peace Medal replica. • Were there bags of these coins sold through the Mint website to collectors? There are a lot of ways to divide up the total mintage figures for coins sold in differently marketed channels. Any other product formats???
