no. it won't pass 100K. but it might hit over 200,000 if the mint end dec.31,2009. the last two months is the christmas season. and if the mint continue next year. it will be a lot. because the collectors are in love with buffalo. as for proof. it will depend on the mint decision. max 20,000, or max 50,000 or more. only max 20,000 that the price will move up fast after closing by the mint. and it will limit one per family for sure.

This is the best forum ever. Don't stop posting on here Elaine, I will be here for years ahead reading the helpful info you post.
Elaine, I put your numbers for the 2009 Silver Proof Sets into a chart and this is what I came up with... We're only thirteen (13) weeks into the release, but it looks like we're settling down to about 12,000 per week. Assuming sales taper off a bit more and then have a surge at the end, I suspect an average of 12,000 per week for the remaining 39 weeks will be about right. This also "assumes" the sets will only be sold for 52 weeks. If that guess is a good one, we should expect to see a final mintage figure right at 1,000,000. Note: Week #11 doubled up to about 23,000, then Week #12 was -1000. For some reason, the Mint's mintage figures do that about every ten (10) weeks. I see that trend with the FS coins, also. I thought it might have something to do with "returns", but that doesn't explain the large increase the week prior. If you know why the Mint does this, I would be interested to know. I was just thinking...if silver continues to increase over the next year, these sets may become more and more popular if they stay at a fixed price. Have you ever heard of a Proof set having a price adjustment in mid-release? They currently sell for $52.95 each and the silver content is about $27.50.
the mint once said that they have plan to start at the beginning month of each year for 2010 clad proof set, silver proof set and uncirculated set. i don't know if they change it again.
