Could be just lighter volume on the markets today... Monday is a holiday for some people too so I don't expect a lot of record breaking news until mid next week if it comes back up to this weeks highs.
Oh thanks. I even forgot monday is a holiday. But i think comex is still doing business except stock market.
in the hand of institutional investors, bankers, coin dealers and those rich collectors. even the companies who wraps the rolls. same picture with those other denominations. and 2010 might be in the same situation too. well. just buy the 2009 uncirculated set. and you get everything. and its satin finish as a bonus. i think krispy hoard a lot of those dime and nickel. are you?.
LOL! No I don't collect clad, remember? However, I did win one roll ($5 worth) of business strike 2009-P dimes here in a CT contest this summer! Yay!:hail: I also like half dollars so I bought two sets of 2009 P/D rolls from the Mint.
i got 5 set of 2009 kennedy half mint roll. i thought it will be the lowest mintage. but not. the mint increase it by 200,000 to 3.6 mil this year. last year 2008 is the lowest at 3.4 mil. but i don't have it. 2009 mint roll is the only kennedy unc that i got.
elaine: This is my current list of 2009 dated finds and non-silver/gold Mint orders, it's very slim: 1 pc. - LP3 business strike -- from CT contest win 1 pc. - 2009-P Puerto Rico quarter -- found in circulation 1 roll - 2009-P Dimes -- from CT contest win 2 sets - 2009 P/D Mint roll Kennedy Half dollars (4 rolls total) 5 sets - 2009 Lincoln 4 pc. Proof Set (LN2) LP2s in my order are "Expected to ship on 10/09/2009", Today! I'd just ordered my half dollars and within days CoinNews put out this story on the Mint ramping up production on them, oh well.
i think you got is the LP3 not LP2. LP2 is not selling anymore. LP4 will soon be out for sales. well. i also got very few 2009 denominations. mostly bought from the mint. because i bought gold mostly. to said few is actually wrong. 5 set of lincoln is already 500 coin. what about others?.
to philham. no. not final yet. the 2008w am eagle silver dollar is still selling from the mint. the mint still selling the 2008w 6 pc uncirculated set. which composed of 1 pc ASE(w), 4 pc prez, and 1 pc sac dollar. each week is added very few pieces. it might be end by the end of this year. 2008w ASE - 476,466 (not final) 2008/7w ASE - 47,000 (estimate) 2008w ASE - 523,466 (total from both, not final) 2006w - 496,200 (lowest, key) 2007w - 555,998
I'm very surprised that the 2008w am eagle silver dollar hasn't sold out yet. Perhaps that explains the reason for no 2009w. I've been buying these for a few years and it is disappointing to see them not put out a 2009w. Thanks for the info though. You're the best!
