All true, but Elaine 1970 does provide the "best up to date data", even if it isn't perfect. Decision making also isn't perfect, but having current data and looking at trends is helpful to me. The footnotes about the sources might be interesting, but I don't want to miss the forrest while looking at the trees. Please keep the data coming...it is appreciated, by me
It has to be accurate or it's useless. I'm sure her sources would agree... and it would help to have some insights from time to time. I'm not saying to stop posting, just give some credit and context. :smile
No Blank AME Proof was B&S 2009 but a record # AME bullion were struck 20 Million ff-topic:Sorry Krispy+ Elaine but I just had to say this. TBA on American Eagle Proof yet one more yr that just burn/a?? Moy has to go US Mint need to have someone managing it that know what the USA collector wants
I got this card in the mail yesterday too, but it's nothing new, actually most of the Release dates on the otherside of the card have already passed before this was sent out, but the info on Eagles is the same thing that's been on the US Mint web page for months. No news here, just the Mint rubbing it in collectors faces a little more and covering themselves that they communicated the status of the Eagle program and annual products that are TBD. These recent mailings have more to do with the new logo (branding identity) that the Mint recently began using on printed materials. The mailing is more of an excuse to get their new identity out there, probably ahead of the fall holiday season. My US Mint account is set up to opt-out of mailings, yet I have started to receive a flurry of new marketing materials in my box. I really dislike that they didn't honor my wish to opt-out of printed materials.

I personally like seeing the figures. I cannot believe how low the latest update was for the 2010 Silver Proof Sets that have been sold. You'd think people would be making a rush towards these because of the first year AMTB quarters.... It will be interesting to see what the final mintage numbers end up being on these. I'd expect the silver eagle bullion to end up being around 30-35 mil. before all is said and done.

You say 1 oz. 2010-W AGE Proof at $1,535.00 while 1 oz. AGB Proof coina currently retail from the US Mint for $1,510 You say 1/2 oz. 2010-W AGE Proof at $781.00 while 1/2 oz. First Spouse Proof coins currently retail from the US Mint for $779 The month of September is usually rough on markets and PMs last year performed very well going into the fourth quarter. In a few weeks these numbers may need to be revised upwards. In any case, the four coin set may be well worth picking up at only 39k sets even at current PoG levels + the Mint's markup on bullion products. The price structure would also more closely follow the increments detailed on these pages: Pricing of Numismatic ProductsContaining Gold Coins United States Mint Coin Pricing Grid [PDF]
