Hey everyone ! Hope you enjoying your evening . I came across this item Authenticated and thought that would be a good thread . So, show what you own or have seen that is unique or unusual . Examples could be a coin , cancelled dies, Mint items or just plain Multiple Error coins .
This one was in a coin shop at Hilldale Shopping Center. My Great Uncle lives 20 mins. from that place in Madison, WI.
I just sold, this week, three (3) 8 foot long 1943 Steel Cent Punched Planchet strips (Denver Mint). They've been on my website for over a year.....cool item(s). I've heard of longer Clad strips out there, but haven't seen them in person.
Here's a few of mine that I enjoy: A War Nickel Split Planchet & I have both halves. Notice the grading label. A Reverse Cap Die Error A Shield Mickel Split Planchet. I only have one half of this one. A 1943 over 2 War Nickel. Notice the point on the bottom left of the 3. An incomplete planchet. This is a straight clip.
I cant post a picture, it wont let me for some reason, butttt, i have a quarter and there is a random circle in the middle that almost goes around george washingtons head and some of the coin is messed up where the circle is? Anything special about it??
' Z E - your coin has counting machine damage It got jammed in the machine, and those circular lines are from the part that should push the coin thru, but if another coin jammed the machine just ahead of your coin, it will get those marks.
