The image posted was the obverse of a Conder token, Warwickshire 34, from the 1790's. This was a period of great civil unrest in Great Britain and France. There was fear of revolution in both counties but it occurred only in France. So, the "animal" is a monstrous demon representing sedition. Rated "scarce" by the Conder bible Dalton & Hamer, this token might come up for sale once or twice a year either in copper or white metal.
