Yawn. Do you have a bone to pick? Calm down. You still don't get it. It is concerning your sanctimonious condescending posts toward the OP and the TPG and CONECA. It is concerning your absolutism of judging a piece as garbage, from very questionable photos. It is concerning your lack of the professionalism you espouse, by your supposed infallible position, yet you did not see the piece in hand. This is professionalism: This is professionalism: This is professionalism: Do you understand now? Do you understand how discourteous it is to state what you did in the manner that you did? All my posts concerning your discourtesy have been urging you to simply opine in a professional manner, i.e., "I haven't seen the coin in hand, but', or "The pictures are not the bests, but based on my experience, my opinion is", or "it is maybe possible to be certain as to the cause using forensics".....or ANYTHING that was absent calling something GARBAGE and adamantly declaring your opinion as not an opinion but Dogma. You had a wonderful teaching moment. You chose to not do so and instead to play "lookatme" at the expense of the OP. You could have (as a very savvy professional would) turned the thread into a great education opportunity and enhanced your status as a professional, and most likely increase the economic opportunity of your book. Your decision was to proudly proclaim you are not giving anything away (for free), and people are lazy and won't just go out there and (humblebrag) "suffer" the years of turmoil and sweat and tears....blahblah, and because you are asked , as a professional, how you are absolutely correct, you claim the questioner is using psychology and manipulating you to reveal (do you grasp how paranoid appearing that is?) your wisdom and Solomon-like finality of decision. You do not need to continue to humblebrag. Mr. Weinberg courteously and professionally endorsed your research and the culmination of same via publication. I don't read into that endorsement a carte blanche appreciation for declaring the holdings of a collector or dealer or hobbyist as GARBAGE. A member has mentioned I should apologize for being rude. That is silly, but it may be helpful to the member to ponder if a professional declares with omnipotence that the possession of a fellow hobbyist is GARBAGE, without physically examining the coin in hand, and without clear pictures and without any forensic research, is "'rude" or maybe it is simply ignorance. Such a declaration of Godliness transcends bluntness. It was a deliberate and caustic uttering. I expect a higher degree of communication from a professional and I will not apologize for expressing my expectation clearly and precisely and why. Do you not ask an attorney or a physician why? Do you not ask a fiduciary why? Do you not ask your tax preparer why? Or, do you proceed thru life on the basis of all answers being "I told you so, that's why". It worked when my mom and dad said it. Otherwise, not so much. Either way, there will not be an apology. Fire away.
