Because I can't find an official one. Who's going? Any good activities outside the show? Who's going to loan me money ? I just booked our hotel room, so we're good to go!
I live about 30 mins away. I'm going Friday most likely. I don't know about any other happenings. I just get in, get out
I usually grab a room across the street at the Westin or Renaissance, whichever has the best deal, and go all 3 days but this go around I might just do a down and dirty 1 day trip if I go.
I've never gone to a show more than one day. Perhaps it's because I don't spend as much, I don't know. It's a good show that I get through in about 3-4 hours, straight
It's our first trip and I've got a 3 day pass - so we'll probably go a day or two. I'm hoping to get my eyes on a real proof Peace Dollar... Maybe...Hmmmmmm...
To those that have been before, have you ever seen any stamp dealers there? I do have two I'm hoping to leverage to help build my war chest for buying. I do collect stamps, these outside of my normal collection. I saw on the website that they do - but wanted "real world" feedback. Thanks!
I've been to the LB show many times. Always come away with something. This year I'm bypassing it and saving my money for the big ANA show in Anaheim!!! A little over 2 months away!!!
Do you live near there? Which airport do you fly into? I am deciding but it seems pretty far from landing in LA? Hotels? Reasonable? I guess I should start a new ANA thread.
I'm about 50 miles away. Since it's next to Disneyland there are a lot of hotels. Rates can be reasonable if you book early. As for airports John Wayne & Long Beach are the closest. Ontario airport is a little closer than LAX Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The last time I went in 2015, I believe there were a few stamp and sports memorabilia dealers, but 90% were devoted to coins and currency. Not going this time around, I always feel inadequate there because I don't have millions to spend.
Don't - just appreciate it like you do a museum. Fun to look and appreciate. Or if it makes you feel better, I'll sell you all of my pocket change at face value (plus fees - of course!)
Actually, I have enjoyed the Long Beach shows when I've attended. If I do attend this time, I'll be the guy standing outside by the entrance, holding a tin cup.
