OK, like the previous posts I am looking for the TPG grade for this well detailed example. All responses welcomed including if I should continue with these- hopefully there is some value in these even if just the humor factor!

Another TPG "Grade" of "AU, Improperly Cleaned".
My grade, XF badly cleaned, net VF. Were I a half-cent
guy I'd have bought it as real -- dumass me!
    Please *DO* continue these!!!

AU details cleaning, but in reality, another pretty good counterfeit. This one is less deceptive than many of your others. Just doesn't look right.

    Counterfeit, in my opinion.

Thanks NewbietoCoins; curious what are the "tells" to you this is counterfeit?

It's either a counterfeit or details. It just doesn't look right to me.

Just to keep it "real", here is my 2nd example:

The lump, dot or whatever you want to call it on the obverse by the E in LIBERTY. That is the biggest thing for me because I have not seen those on genuine examples.

Also, her nose looks all jacked up in this counterfeit. Could just be my eyes but it is not appealing.

    Greg Bayes Where's the loo?

I am a fine example of the untrained eye but that T in the word CENT says counterfeit to me. no?

I am immediately deterred by the divisions between denticles crossing the upset rim of this fake. This is not in keeping with how coins were minted.

If this coin was graded by a TPG, I think they called it an XF45 or AU Details, and can't make up my mind which.

I'm guessing they called it 45, but the curls at the shoulder aren't separated, so it's actually VF.

I call this fake and voted such. It has the correct diagnostics for the C-4 (Obv. 3, Rev. C) and the die lump at "1"; blunt left foot at "T"; Die flaw at "A" and others. So, it appears to me that the host coin was genuine and not a mixed die marriage.

What bothers me is the line on the obverse running from her cheek in front of the ear, through the neck curl and across the bust drapery. This is not wear, the curl should be complete at this stage of wear and I don't believe the line is a die artifact. It is most likely an artifact of the die transfer process. My conclusion is bolstered by your post of the second coin which has the exact same line.

    Some really good comments!

I have added an image of my OP coin compared to a TPG "MS" example of the C-4:

I like how you put "MS" in quotation marks. Would they call this "cabinet friction"? Still, a pretty coin.

It is; just showing comparisons for folks to see any apparent differences between mine and another (not mine!) example of the variety to your points above.

Grade the op coin per the poll in terms of what the TPG stated and discussions of the example relative to the 5th choice. This is the 4th one I have done with different "varieties" to date.
