Can somebody help me figure out what kind of coin this is? I know there is an error, but don't know how to look up the coin info.

Three cent nickel. Recently introduced to me as a "thrickle" by a much younger member of the forum.

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

It has been plugged. At some point there was a hole and has since been filled. It might have been a pendant at some time?

1868 nickel three cent piece unfortunately holed and badly plugged. The type was made from 1865 to 1889. Pieces from the 1860's are pretty common, from 1870 to 76 a little tougher and from 1879 to 1889 with the exception of 1881 range from fairly scarce to pretty rare. (The 1881 is common) The 1877, 78 and 86 were only made in proof condition for collectors)
