Bruttia Crispina (164 – 191 AD) was Roman Empress from 178 to 191 as the consort of Roman Emperor Commodus. Can't really tell you about the coin per se. Cal
Correct! RIC 283 Sear 6001 Crispina Denarius. CRISPINA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / IVNO, Juno standing left, holding patera and sceptre, peacock at her feet. RIC 283; RSC 21; BMCRE 41; Sear 6001.
Was gonna say it looks mushy (that obverse legend and fields) and appears to have filing scratches... But I'm no where near an expert, so left it to better minds to call it out first.
And why did you start a new thread to tell someone about a coin two threads previous? This also belongs in Ancient coins section. I am having a hard time understanding?
The coin shown here is not the same specimen as the fake shown over on the ancient section. It is the same type but not the same coin. There is no better question than why????
Here's an authentic example (reputable house) with a hairstyle closer to that of the OP coin. The fake appears to have been modeled after a legitimate style.
