I'm looking for any information about this seal or design that is on tin coins from Southeast Asia! I've now found 3 examples of the pentagon seal/design which is intriguing because they are all significantly different coins and designs. I've been studying the tin coins from pre-Islamic Indonesia and Malaysia for several months now and have always found these pieces an anomaly but with the addition of a third example, I decided to see if anyone else knew anything. I'd guess the age of the coin to be around 1300-1450 AD as one of the coins copies the cash coin (square hole) design of Chinese coins that became common/imitated in Sumatra and Java in the 14th Century. It also features Buddhist symbols that largely fell out of favor in Sumatra sometime around 1450ish? I'm not sure about this date. Any help or assistance would be appreciated!

Example 1, "Numista Buddhist Example" is attributed to the Srivijaya Empire and shows a plain obverse with the seal. Per the description, "Five - pointed increase in the mid of the coin". The reverse shows the Bodhisattva of Compassion (Guanyin). The left characters read "Guan Yun Pu Sa" meaning Guan Yin Bodhisattva. I found on Wikipedia that Guan Yun Pu Sa is Malaysian Mandarin; "the name is GuanYin Pusa (GuanYin Bodhisattva)". The right characters translate to Safe Trip Wherever You Go. Weight is 9.51g and 27.3mm wide, 3.3mm thick.

Example 2, "Zeno Cash Example" is possibly attributed to the Srivijaya Empire. The obverse shows the seal design copied 4 times around a crude square center hole. There is some doubling on the bottom design. The reverse has at least eight small punchmarks that are are similar to plus (+) marks inside of a small circle. There are four main punches roughly around the square hold but also much lighter punches between the four main ones. The poster, brutus57, says that it was a Palembang find and that the punchmarks are similar to some found on Bangka cash coins/gongsi tokens.

Example 3, "eBay Ribbon/Fish Example" is a much thicker tin coin than the others. The seal design on the obverse is off centered by a bit. The reverse shows a ribbon or fish design. I messaged the seller and they attributed it to the Samudera Pasai Kingdom and says that the "ribbon logo" is identical to Samudera Pasai but I have been unable to find anything matching the reverse to any other documented coins from Samudera Pasai. The seller also referred to the main pentagon seal design as a "boat design".
