This post has illustrated the connection between coins and purses. At various times in their lives, both my wife and daughter crafted bags of some sort using fabric or leather designing them to fill a need in their lives. Neither ever owned an expensive bag. Elementary school teachers and librarians accessorize differently than socialites and Red Carpet actresses. I have seen other men's wives carrying purses much less practical and much more expensive. I got lucky. I had an aunt who carried what was akin to a suitcase for a purse until she was too old to bear the weight and asked her younger sister to carry it for her. I found this site on purses interesting:

https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/most-expensive-luxury-handbags-hermes-birkin-chanel-louis-vuitton

I strongly suspect your wife might like one of the purses shown there more than would the women in my family. I also doubt she would feel the urge to modify that purse or take off the labels. One of our long time friends on CT, Jamesicus, showed his 'manpurse' which he wore around his waist to contain his collection of 20 favorite coins wherever he went so he could handle them whenever the urge struck. From our standards, that was the ultimate in practical purses.

Somehow I doubt that your life would be improved by sharing this post with your wife. We are all different. I know men who want a sports car (attracts younger women?) and a fancy truck (too clean for hauling). Others are happy with a Prius (easy on gas) or a beat up pick-up (great for mulching the flowerbeds). I take my coin photos with a camera and lens that cost more than any coin I own. People! We are a strange bunch!
