Unknown Error 1995 - P Washington Quarter

    I found this quarter with an odd error that I have never seen before. There is lettering on the collar of the coin on both the obverse and reverse, though it is more visible on the reverse. It looks like a die clash, but only on the collar, and there is no other clashing elsewhere that I can see.

    Has anyone else seen this type of error before? Is it just a weird type of die clash, or a pivoted die? I have been trying to think how the marks could have been made on the die or the coin, without there being any other errors along with it.

    Great find. I forgot what it is called but it is a mint error.

    @Pickin and Grinin did you mention something about this issue once?

    We have seen this before. But it has been minor compared to this example.

    That does look to be the error. Any idea on rarity or value?

    Ok. I stumbled across quarter with small letters at the top of R in LIBERTY. ONE ON RIGHT AN ONE ON THE LEFT OF THE R.THEY ARE A 5TH THE SIZE OF THE R. Can anyone enlighten me about letters left is a small D an right is a small K. Small but capital
