unknown double headed roman bronze coin???

    That is a rather vague answer from someone seeking advice and camaraderie from other numismatists.

    I have approximately 14, with one on the way. How about you?

    Sorry mate, I would of thought a couple hundred but hammered English coins are my main area

    and also a lot of my ancients are just cheaper one.

    Frank, I have looked at your coin, but its tough to say much because:

    1. Its still very dirty and/or corroded and dark
    2. We cannot make out any letter
    3. We have no idea of size, thickness, weight, etc

    Even if we had those things, it very well could be a provincial and could still be hard to pin down.

    Cool. I have also started to acquired British Pennies. I really like the 1800's and early 1900's (1901?) with Queen Victoria.

    weird you say that because until recently I had no interest with coins after the Plantagenets really but someone sold me a few Victoria crowns and copper pennies which were nice and I have kept one so maybe I'll start collecting these too.
