I sure its Portuguese.</p><p>As far as I can tell is says:</p><p>JOSEPHUS I D.G REX .D.GUINE on the coat of arms side.</p><p>1763 . AFRICA . PORTUGUEZA on the other side. In the center it says MACU (TA) with another coat of arms struck on top of that, partly covering the TA.</p><p>The coin is a little over 3cm in diameter and heavy. The coin has ‘bump’ in it, but you can’t do that with your fingers. The metal feels very solid, iron or even steel! Had a hard life on its back I guess.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://img89.exs.cx/img89/7879/a_0003a.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p>This coin is EXTREMLY light and extremely thin! I guess no more than a gram!</p><p>I can make little out on it. On the back (I guess it is!) it says;</p><p>V.G.G FRIEDERICH. MARG. Z . BK. ?(I). ?(E) PR(?). I can’t identify at all what is in the middle.</p><p>On the front (I guess) Some Coat of arms in the middle, with (48) under. </p><p>M.A.S.K(?).C.W.M.S.C.H.D.N.F.H.M.I(?).N.C along the rim.</p><p>German maybe?[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
