Unknown Buffalo

  1. I have a Buffalo Nickel that the date is worn off. It not bad looking coin otherwise. I read that was a problem with buffalo nickels and that is why they changed to Jefferson. How would you value it. Other than date it is g-4 to vg-8 at least. Let my sister who works in lab take it to see if she can see date in microscope so no pictures.

On ebay a roll of dateless buffs might sell for $11.00....so....27 cents? :D

There is a product called nick-a-date that will restore the date on worn buffallo nickels. It damages them but they are only worth about 27 cents. I’ve used it and it works fairly well.

How about a picture of it? Always post pictures.. both sides.
There are some members that can look at coins and narrow the date down just by looking at slight variations on both sides.
