I guess this comes under the heading of me not having access to enough Reference websites even though I have been through close to 200 known Apollo/Tripod coin images I just can't seem to match the monogram spelling of which in itself I am not even sure of as you can see by the photo. I did some enhancing of the Reverse if that helps a bit?? If someone wishes to give it a try I am always appreciative for the help!
From Wildwinds: Kaystriani, Lydia, AE. Autonomous. 200-1 BC. 2.42 gr. Head of Apollo right / KAYΣTΡI-ANΩN, tripod, monogram below. Paris M4932.
Thank you so much, wildwinds is the first place I go, did you have a good idea of what region to look under? Since you are a will known member I just assume you have a good handle on inscription reads....
You are very welcome although this is one of my preferred things to do with ancients. After four or five uneventful searches I searched the part of legend that was clear, *TPIAN* on acsearch, and third or fourth in results was a similar Apollo obverse from Kaystriani but there were none with a tripod. So I checked Wildwinds.
