Denver Mint commemorative I've followed this issue very closely. I live in Colorado and was born not far from the Denver Mint. Last year I wrote to the US Mint and all my congressional representatives requesting that they introduce legislation authorizing Denver Mint 100th anniversary commemorative coins. My propsal was for a set of six coins that would be EXACTLY like the six coins Denver minted in 1906, but with 2006 dates. I even had a letter to that effect printed in Coin World. Ironically, the San Francisco Mint IS getting a 2006 commemorative coin. But nothing happened with my proposal. There was no action taken on it by Congress, and nobody in the public supported it :rolling: So I might as well let the cat out of the bag. Since the Denver Mint isn't issuing anything to commemorate their 100th anniversary, I am. A couple weeks ago, I drove down to the Mint facility on a Sunday and took several pictures of the exterior. The security guards kept a close eye on me (from a distance) while I stuck my camera throught the fence to take pictures of the architectural details. I used those pictures to design this (which is getting ready for production in 39mm brass and 1 troy ounce silver):
