United States: 1944 silver Washington quarter NGC MS67. Cert. #251510-015. Numista-54, Krause-Mishler-164. Mintage: 104,956,000. Ex-Northeast Numismatics, 20 August 2026, as part of a 5-coin swap deal. Although a very common date, this is a nice white "supergem" graded Washington quarter with great luster. I worry that NGC might have overgraded it slightly as an MS67, as there is a small tickmark on Washington's jaw that maybe should have precluded that grade. Then again, the lighting from the photos slightly exaggerates that tiny mark. I don't really mind, however, since the coin has otherwise exceptional eye appeal. I needed a Washington quarter type coin and partly chose this one because it was struck in my mother's birthyear. The coin is in an older (1999) NGC slab. 022750
