So many people putting old/rare/weird coins back into circulation, including myself. What have you found lately? Any coins at all. I would love to hear and see what everyone is finding or what you have put into circulation. I will upload photos soon!
I have released quite a few 1950s wheat cents into circulation (while paying with exact change), and a couple of $1 silver certificates. About finds, nothing yet.
I've released a bunch of Buffs, V Nickels and Mercs, and a few IHCs into circulation. But, I haven't found anything in change.......yet.
I did a bunch of buffalo nickels as well, a couple siver dimes. Also keep finding S - proof nickels 1967, 68, 69, & 70 in register at work lol. Trying my hardest to find a 2019 W Quarter.
Thats awesome! Very cool of you to do the silver certificates, makes my day everytime i happen to find one which isn't very often.
I live in a fairly rural area so I expect any obsolete coinage released into the wild will take some time getting to my area, if at all. I probably have a better chance of finding a W quarter.
Haven't found anything myself yet... I released an SLQ, some buffalo nickels, a 1903 V nickel, some silver dimes, and with a few handfuls of wheaties so far. Hopefully someone with finds them and becomes interested in numismatics
Hopefully we all find something special for out collections and people who find some cool ones for the first time fall in love with the "sport" lol
