Such terrible issues for the OP, $35K tranny repair, $4k in bids on CNG and his wife likes the Porsche and he needs it to impress her and their "friends". Such first world problems.

I was gonna say it, but just left it vague since I wasn't sure and don't have proof other than similar idiot-so-crazies of his/hers.
It's the poop poster, back again. They decorated our beloved board with poop fetish pornigraphy a couple years back. I'll bet they liked saying a few small words, from a small person, to me. I've been the first to catch them a couple of times. Good catch.
Hopefully the mods get them before they get back to their fecal loving and posting ways...

No one can get the coins even my wife. They are in a safe deposit and I am the only one who has the key and if I get into divorce I make sure the keys are not with me but with a trusted friend/family and good luck with her or even police to find where my coins are unless they torture me in jail which is not a common practice nowadays at least for financial matters :)

I'm glad that most of these people are before my time. Except for good old Ernst, who thought anyone who outbid him deserved to die, what with his being royalty and all that.

I wouldn't pay 35k for a NEW Porsche... never mind to fix one that's only 6yrs old...
I'd advise 1st find a new mechanic.. that's just insane... 2nd I'd advise buying a real car to replace that toy... even a POS Chevy would be better and more dependable (and this coming from a lifetime FORD man)

If you must have a Porsche, then, rather than spending your entire savings to fix the old Porsche, you may be better off, taking out a car loan, and buying a new Porsche, with monthly car payments. That is, if the down payment, on a new Porsche, is way less than $35,000. Could you buy a Porsche with no down payment? What would the monthly car payments be, for a new Porsche, with a 5 year loan, and no down payment? $3,000 per month? But I think I prefer the other idea, of paying that guy $10,000, to do a quick fix of the old Porsche's transmission.

yes that would be 3000 a month! That's way more than I can afford I prefer to fix the one I have with 35K rather than spend 150K on a new one. Fixing it with 10K I might end up spend 35K down the road again in couple years if it breaks again. Best option is to use 35K I have on the car and use a bank loan for next feature CNG auction. 5k would add up to 300 a month for 2 years not a biggie I can save on food and other costs to cover that 300 and she wont notice it :)

Hey Mighty Tighty - Melinda Gates is newly single and might be looking for a boy toy, she could be a sugar momma and buy all sorts of compensational coins and cars for you.

When you bought the old Porsche, was it new? What were the monthly car payments?
