Way undergraded beautiful clean morgan i would give it a 66 today.

Should I try for a gold bean (there are 3 in 64) or submit for reconsideration with a minimum 66?

 

99% of the time that a coin like this appears to be under graded is there is a rim/edge problem or the coin is hairlined. I believe that is the case here. The surface does not appear to be original.

Take two more images of the reverse with the slab tipped at an angle eagle up and tipped w/eagle pointing right.

 

Could be the reverse chatter.

 

Yep! Look at the top (new) image. Note how the color in the area under "In God" and at the top of the wing is different. There is an outline around the relief. Look at the color in the field under "United." IMO, the coin is not original.

 

Looks like a MS-65+ !!

 

Has nice eye appeal to me that’s for sure.
