I'm quite stuck attributing this Celtic coin, which I suspect to be of Danube Celtic origin. Weight 8.41g; diameter 27mm. Obv: incomplete head, with eye (on the right) with notable eyebrow. Rev: horse riding to the left, three dots on breast. The pictures are less flattering to the coin than it's in hand. I'll try reshooting it. The observe is similar to several examples of the Kroisbach type: https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/CoinView.aspx?sc=317280 https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/CoinView.aspx?sc=317280 https://www.flickr.com/photos/antiquitiesproject/5975177900 Any help further attributing it would be appreciated!
I know very little about these coins. I have one. It is my favorite and only Celtic coin Struck using the types found on Tetradrachms of Philip II of Macedon. 12.51 grms 23 mm
Thanks for the replies so far. I think I found a similar example: https://coins.ha.com/itm/ancients/g...diademed-head-left-horse-walkin/a/332-11006.s Celtic, Eastern Noricum. Gjurgjevac.
