Hope everyone is well.

So get this...

I work at a bank and as such I occasionally get some nice little finds...silver Ikes and halves, wheaties, etc. My best day was when a customer brought in a couple rolls of silver halves.
Hey all. Hope everyone is well. So get this... I work at a bank and as such I occasionally get some nice little finds...silver Ikes and halves, wheaties, etc. My best day was when a customer brought in a couple rolls of silver halves. I always tell them what they have before I take it, and I've saved some people from giving up Morgans and Peace dollars, as well as other stuff for face value. Sometimes they just say something like "oh thanks but thats ok...I don't want it" or whatever. Anyway, over the 7 years I've been there I've accumulated like 4 rolls of halves 90 and 40%, a handfull of silver dimes, 4 walkers, a few franklins, a few nice foreign coins like Philippines silver, a ton of wheaties and even a silver 3 cent piece. But I never thought I'd see anything like what I got yesterday. It was actually at another bank. One of my former coworkers knew I collected odd stuff like that and has always kept an eye open for me at her new bank. Over the past two years I've gotten a few silver pieces from her including 4 barber quarters. I always pay her something around halfway between face and spot for her troubles. She's a great kid. So she calls me and to my disbelief she says some lady brought in 8 rolls of old quarters and 4 rolls of halves from the 60's. So she gets them and brings them to me. Sure enough they are all rolled up in old old wrappers. I tell her if they are all silver we're talking a lot of money. So I usually give her like 5 or 6x face which she's happy with although she knows that she could get like 10x at the store.,,I guess its a friend price :) She says she has to leave and asks for like $300. I instead give her $620 so she is clearing $500 over face. We agree to adjust if there is non-silver mixed in. She's really happy. I take them home... I start unwrapping and this is what I get... make sure you're sitting down :) 4 full rolls of 90% halves...all 1964 Kennedy's except for one 1962 Franklin. About half are AU or better, including a handfull of BU's and 4 or 5 with a beautiful pink/yellow tone. 6 full rolls of silver Washingtons...1935 through 1964. The majority are from the 40's. Only a few 1964's. One appears to be a 1943 DDO! They range from F to XF with maybe 5 Vg's and 5 AU's mixed in. The 7th roll has about 25 more of the same...and about 15 regular clad Washingtons. :( Then I get to the last roll......:) :) :) 20 more silver Washingtons, 3 standing libertys (2 no date, a really nice 27,) 12 Barbers including get this... a semi key 1914S in F+ ! and it gets better... 5 Seated Libertys including an 1868 and an 1860s! I couldn't believe it! I get three coins with mintages of 250,000 or less. The 1914s is around that, the 1860s seated is around 60,000, and the 1868 is less than 30,000!!! So for $620 I got over $1200 in silver and 3 semi-keys worth over $100 apiece. I sell half of the spot coins to my buddy at the branch for half of what I paid cause we always split what we get at the same price (two sets of eyes are better than one lol) I gave him most of the barbers and all of the SLQ's but I'm keeping the semi-keys. So after its all said and done for $310 I got over $600 in silver and the three great coins. A possible 43DDO, And about 4 bucks in clad quarters hehe! :) Needless to say, I'm one happy camper! Talk about a great day!
