Yes, the lines between her face and America that run in multiple directions. When I first got the coin I thought they were from cleaning the coin. Now I trust that they are die polish lines and that the strike occurred before they wore away off the die. The reverse seems pretty free of them. I assume that die had been in use a bit longer.
After attending class with all the other assessments, I'm glad I held off till now. I originally thought it MS60, but unsure if obverse contact marks and scuffing would allow a straight grade. Now, I agree that it would grade AU58 Details, as others have thought. IMHO...the obverse condition is evidence of circulation (or handling)...but I don't see it having been harshly or improperly cleaned. All-in-all, very nice coin and the reverse is stupendous, I would be proud to own it. I have four Barber dimes, various dates, all from circulation around 1962, all F12 or lesser grade.
