Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I didn't know where else to put it. This isn't what I typically collect, but I couldn't pass it up for $15 (local auction). Given it's size, it's not well suited for storage. Each medal is 15/16". . . Anyone have suggestions for storage (by breaking down the current display) or a way to present it in a way that doesn't take up so much space? I was thinking about individual air-tites, but can't find any in this size.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question. But I just joined this forum and cannot see where I can create a post.
First, welcome to the neighborhood! You don't have to apologize. CT doesn't have a forum dedicated for medals and tokens. This forum or Coin Chat will do. Chris
THANKS, found this coin in a europe farmhouse, trying to get any info on what it is? Any help would be great..thanks
Not sure how much help this is, but here's a link for you. https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/479862
You need to create your very own separate thread. It has nothing to do with a US coins. Try the Ancient Coin forum here on CoinTalk Your find has nothing to do with the Presidential items in question.
In my opinion... they look great the way they are displayed! Get that whole set framed and hang it on your wall.
@paddyman98 I thought about that and you may have just convinced me to do it. Now, are you able to talk to my wife about hanging it in the family room?
They're usually 33.4mm or about 1 5/16" diameter and bronze, unless they made another size as well. I have ike Lincoln and one the Kennedy mint did with the presidential seal. That's a nice set. I'd go with @paddyman98 s suggestion and frame it.
@sakata I talk tough like that too, so long as the wife can't hear me! To be clear, my wife's a sweetheart. She loves my bike and "supports" my coins.
