The mint hasn't released production figure updates since 3 November 2019. Does anyone know what is going? We're not shutting down the government this year so that's not the excuse. Did Redbook buy the mint and shutdown their sales and production figures website
That's not encouraging. If that's the case then it sounds like their retirement was a spur of the moment decision. Otherwise, there would have been a smooth transition so that these types of responsibilities would have been passed on to another mint employee.
I worked much of my career as a federal contractor before I retired in 2016 and in most instances, when someone was retiring, responsibilities were handed over to someone prior to their retirement. After discussions with some former colleagues today, the toxic environment that exists in some agencies may be responsible for someone getting fed up and leaving right away without a transition plan. Of course this is all speculation.
They have at least resumed updating sales for the bullion issues, one can see January 2020 totals so far.
Did you bump your head. They don't even know there gone. Give the mint a few more weeks. They'll catch on
Yeah. These days. You train your replacement on your last day after lunch break. This is a known fact
I read that it was a staffing issue (or lack thereof). They have recently resumed posting the figures. https://www.usmint.gov/about/production-sales-figures/cumulative-sales
How did you know I bumped my head. My parents always told me to use my head. They forgot to mention how.
