I heard somewhere last week that the Philadelphia mint penny line was shut down. So, I hopped on my Vmax today and rode down the turnpike as fast as I dared towards the City of Brotherly Love (sometimes referred to as Filth-adelphia) luckily I didnt receive a speeding ticket. So, while I was there in Philadelphia I decided to stop at the U.S. Mint and while there (to my slight amazement)dd: I noticed the penny line was shut down. I'm wondering why the mint shut down production of the most widely produced coin. I saw copper coins from either a previous run or they were just blanks but I couldn't tell if they were still making the 2009 type 1 yet. Anyways, I looked around at the gift shop saw a couple of those ultra high relief gold coins I can't afford and talked to a few mint guards to get any extra insight I could pry from them. I saw Ben Franklins Grave site near where i parked, gave a guy with a cup the remaining change i had for watching my bike and bolted out of town. So, if anyone knows what might be going on with the whole mint thing please let me know. Thank you
