    A decent amount over guide at that grade. I believe that might be the only known Hudson in a doily slab.

    The old designs are so much nicer (artistic) than the current ones.

    I love this thread, although I have to admit I have many more modern commemoratives then older ones. There are many modern ones that have interesting designs, and I agree with you that the older ones can be much more artistic. The reverse of this one is one of my all-time favorites...

    So the Lafayette dollar is silver, is that the correct color?
    It looks bronze. Is it just toning? Or bad lighting?
