It was a product of its era, which totally had different values from today. That’s why it’s historic. History, I find, ain’t usually a pretty sight. It’s something to learn from.
Wouldn't consider it particularly racist, in poor taste perhaps, but not overtly racist. In the same vein, I was at the U of GA while they were still cutting it and saw the workers with plasma torches at work.
Commemoratives (older ones) are usually expensive, and although I like them, I don't have many. Columbian, BT Washington, Washington-Carver, Pilgrim, Monroe is about it. All circulated too.
