Jaceravone&#039;s report of type A quarter is most interesting.&nbsp; 1957 and 1960 mint sets are about 50% type B.&nbsp; I think they are very scarce in any other mint sets.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Type2 has a&nbsp; good name.&nbsp; Type B use to be type II or variety 2.&nbsp; Walter Breen change it to B.&nbsp; (At the same time he changed my 1972 $1 type B to type 2).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I think the TPG&#039;s recognize type 2 halves for 1956 proofs.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Clad type B diagnostics are the same as the silver B&#039;s.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Based on my 1973-1988 experience, I estimate the number of clad B circulation coins to be:</p><p>1969 D B 1,000,00</p><p>1970 D B 500,000</p><p>1971 D B 80,000</p><p>1972 D B 40,000</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>1971 D B has a die chip visible on 6 out of 6 specimens.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
