Real to me,and the extra head looks like damage e.t.c but it could be double strike,my way of saying %50-%50.

First blush looks real double strike. Reverse shows it as well. PMD with another dime and the other head would be reversed.

I think it could very well be real. You can see the rim is actually missing on the place it was stamped twice. Idk what its worth value wise but it might be worth getting graded.

It’s not very often that someone on CT actually finds a real error coin! :hilarious: @paddyman98 come have a look, lol.

As I said before to bad it was only 3 years ahead of being silver especially with this special feature.

I vote for real, however, I would like to see a better lit & clearer picture of the reverse

It is amazing it has been in circulation long enough to get that much wear.

Probably out of someone's collection that has been reintroduced into circulation by a younger relative who didn't know any better!! There seems to be a lot of them out there anymore!!! ;):) Ones that don't know any better that is!!!

I guess to us collectors, it is hard to image that people really never look at their change.

All these bogus "double dies" these days and here's a genuine double head and you don't need no microscope to see it. Well done, James!
