Not great condition is pretty relative, when it comes to these. Yours is better than than the vast majority I've seen. It's a type I've been after but have yet to find a satisfactory example. I love the style and the imagery on these, and that they're attributed to the same engraver as the magnificent testone and doppio ducato of Federico II.
Thank you for your comments. I did, of course, post it for you. You obviously love and know an awful lot about Italian Renaissance coinage, even not so attractive minors. Actually, this coin looks a bit better in hand than on the scan, which apparently had problems with the very dark colour of this copper coin.
