5 para 1327 (2) / 1910, nickel, weight - 1,8 g., size - 16,15 mm, thickness - 1,1 mm, mintage - 1664000 pcs. Coins of this type were released at 1910-1915. Ruler: Muhammad V (1909-1918).

10 para 1327 (8) / 1916, nickel, weight - 2,6 g., size - 18,6 mm, thickness - 1,3 mm, mintage - 7590000 pcs. Coins of this type were released at 1915 & 1916. Ruler: Muhammad V (1909-1918).

 

5 kurus 1926, aluminium-bronze, weight - 4 g., size - 22,8 mm, mintage - 355910 pcs. Coins of this type were released at 1926 and 1928. Moreover: mintage of 1928 was very small (2000 pcs).

 

5 kurus 1956, brass, weight - 2,2 g., size - 16,3 mm, thickness - 1,29 mm, mintage - 21380000 pcs. Coins of this type were released at 1949-51 and 1955-57.

 

1 kurus 1949, brass, weight - 2,2 g., size - 18 mm, thickness - 1 mm, mintage - 29530000 pcs. Coins of this type were released at 1947-51.

 

I got them during my journey in Turkey.

That 50 kuruş coin is nicely designed but also a little strange: The other five denominations, even the 1 lira, have ornamental designs. This one however shows what is now called Bridge of the 15 July Martyrs, the oldest of the Bosphorus bridges. Hope your trip was as enjoyable as the weather on that day.

I saw one of these Art Deco Turkish Republic coins in the Istanbul Museum and had to get one.
